WOLFEBORO – Those considering a trip to the Castle in the Clouds, Moultonborough
this summer to attend one of six concerts offered by Great Waters Music Festival may
now ride Jolly the Trolley from Wolfeboro and stop at Birch and Vine Restaurant in
Melvin Village for dinner along the way.
“We wanted to offer a transportation option for those folks in Wolfeboro who would
rather have someone else do the driving,” said Great Waters Director Joan Myers. “Of
course, we thought of Molly and Jolly the Trolley right away. And stopping part way to
enjoy a dinner at Birch and Vine seemed to round out this special package very nicely.”
Partnering with Great Waters and Birch and Vine on this project fits well with Jolly the
Trolley’s schedule, according to Wolfeboro Trolley Company owner Kathy Fairman.
“Jolly is committed six days a week to his Free Parking Shuttle in Wolfeboro,” she said.
“However, the shuttle finishes at 5:00 just in time to head out for dinner and a concert;
Jolly loves the idea!
“And we are very excited to be part of this cooperative effort which we hope will give
people who may not want to drive at night, an opportunity to enjoy these beautiful
outdoor concerts near the top of a mountain. It really is a very special experience.”
Among Great Waters Concerts in the Clouds scheduled this summer are “Foreigners
Journey,” “The Docksiders,” “Zac Brown Tribute,” “Judy Collins,” “The Greatest
Love/Whitney Houston Show,” and “David Brighton’s Space Oddity.”
